thanks for reaching out.
It all depends on which region you purchase the game. Some languages are not available in certain regions.
May I know what region you're from and where you are seeing this information about only getting Russian language?
Isn't it time to finally reconsider those obsolete restrictions for older titles?
There's still an ongiong issue that Russian language is the only language available if you purchase Far Cry 4 on Steam from one of those countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
Almost none of those countries have Russian as their main language, and it's the minority language in many of them. For example, only less than 15% population know Russian in Moldova. I personally know people who don't buy the game on Steam just for this reason, and they can't even get the multi-language version as a gift from US friends, since it's locked away from those countries list specifically, which makes no sense since it is already full price there.
Ubisoft stopped using language locks as a regional restriction a long time ago, there are no new games that come with that. Unless those restrictions are lifted in this game, unsolvable support requests about it will continue to flood the support, especially with the new users influx due to the Achievements being added.
Could you please try reaching out to someone who is able to affect this version language locks (or global version inverted region locks for gifting) for a more optimal solution to this ongoing accessibility issue?
