I have always chosen Amita's ending because I see it as the lesser of two evils. I could never choose Sabal's side because his mindset is to marry off little girls in the name of religion. No thanks.
The first time I played it I was torn between the two until the cutscene about 2/3 through where there is an argument and Amita calls out Sabal about his view that arranged marriages for little girls is acceptable or something of the sort. It has always been Amita since then for every playthrough.
But after seeing the post-end cutscene with Amita I soon realised she was a parasite too. I always kill her after the scene as she is walking along the narrow bridge away from the village. That's my way of not choosing Amita or Sabal because the game doesn't readily provide us with that choice.
Normally Playthrough:
> Choose Amita.
> Let Sabal live but banish him. I let him live because he saved me at the start.
> Kill Amita after she forces people to join the Golden Path post-end.
Btw I always see the alternate ending as the real ending, Pagan is the best choice of those 3 and this viewpoint solves all moral dealings.
Amita is a drug pin
Sabal is a religious freak.
Your mother was a cheater
Your dad was a lunatic
All of them deserved it and kyrat is a dump. Once you beat the game, punish the golden path by murdering them in free play
That's the whole point.
*spoilers incoming...*
Amita wants to free Kyrat from poverty by destroying tradition and embracing the opoid trade, even though that's immoral and ultimately will result in Kyratian children becoming her field slaves.
She even eventually has Bhadra murdered, despite previously having the facade of wanting to save her from Sabal.
Sabal wants to embrace tradition and religion, even if it will result in keeping the country in poverty and having a lack of education/healthcare/functioning economy etc.
He also wants Bhadra to be his bride, despite her being a child.
There are no good guys here...
Side with whichever of them you like. But ultimately remember; All roads lead to Rome.
And that also applies to real world politics too.
im really like FC series for inducing critical thinking. something that majority lacks nowadays, sadly
