Farcry4 wont start

I bought the game through stem and installed it in uplay,but nothing.
5-2320 8gb 3.2ghz gtx 560ti windows 10 i have everything installed , every new drivers.
355.60 driver from nvidea

Try to run as admin both, steam and uplaay exe. U can select this by right click on steam.exe (and Uplay.exe) then properties, conpatibiity, select run this program as administrator and ok. Works for me.

Also if your running MSI after burner you may need to configure it to play nice with Far Cry 4

EXIT Steam

before you launch it again right click on your steam i con on your desktop

select properties

select advanced

check the box that says run as administrator

select apply (you may get a prompt asking if this is ok to allow permission select ok )

then launch steam

do the same for your u play .exe

also verify your game files ...

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam

go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

select properties

select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems getting the game to start

also your GPU is kinda weak for this title its about the same as a good GTX 460 just a model yr newer with some slight improvments so dont expect the game to run on high or ultra settings

please post your full steam system info file includeing all software , it may just be one program thats running on your system when you boot into windows that this game just does not like , there are several ... also try unplug any and all game controllers from your system other then your Keyboard and mouse

things to look for that auto load with windows that the game does not like are
Dxtory
EVGA Precision
Afterburner
Riva Tuner statistics server
MSI true color application ( the new version can cause issiues on some configs )
Bullguard Antivirus
and other Antivirus programs if you have the restictions set too high as well as possibly some Firewall software..windows 10 firewall is fine ...

also if your running a beta client of STEAM you need to go to steam / settings / account in the upper left corner of your steam screen

and opt out of the steam beta software ..it will cause the game to not function as of a few days ago

look up top in steam look for where it says Help (right above the word LIBRARY)

clik on that (it will open a drop down menu)

then clik system information

let that load , only takes a few seconds

once that loads with your system information

right clik on that

then select all

then right clik again select copy

then when you post back

right clik and select paste on your reply

UBISOFT will probably tell you that Windows 10 is not a supported operating system for the title since it shipped before windows 10 did

i can tell you it runs perfect on windows 10 home on my laptop and my desktop with Windows 10 Pro

no problem i added a note about the issiue in the troubleshooting tips section thats pinned to the top of the forums ..guess people never look there first ...

it is funny tho that everyone wanted to blame UBI and Uplay for the problem .. when in fact its a STEAM problem LOL

a GTX 960 will do fine .. i use an ASUS Strix GTX 960

motion blur off - not a fan of it ..
Textures - Ultra
Shadows - High
Post FX -Ultra
Geometry - Very High
Vegetation- Ultra
Environment - Ultra
water - Ultra
ambient occusion setting is SSBC
and useing SMAA for Antialising

god rays - off- not a fan of how it looks
fur - off
trees relief -off

in advanced settings
triple buffer - off
Vsync mode - normal

game looks fine to me and plays stutter free on my system with zero crashes

your CPU should be fine as the i 5 3750 is a quad core CPU

just make sure your not running the Beta version of the Steam Client

its currently got a bug in it with a few UBISOFT games

or running any backround applications that can cause the game to not launch
as there are a few tthat you may need to exit and or reconfigure

okay so i bought this game and did the whole u play thing but as soon as i got that all done i press start and all i get is a black screen i have 8gb ram and a nvidia gtx 750 1 gb graphics card so why wont it load then i cant re load it without restarting my pc because it says its still running though i closed it? options??
