How to cancel parachute?

I want to parachute in and perform an aerial takedown on someone, but everytime I try I just float on by because I cannot cancle my parachute and fall onto them like I have seen people do in videos.

How do I do it?

try pressing your shift key to close the chute and hit your F key for a takedown at the last second ?

You should just be able to press F and take them out.

Wait, you can takedown from a parachute? And someone is complaining they can't get the timing right? Takedowns in this game feel a lot harder (i.e., more rewarding) than the last game, so I'm not surprised you're having trouble. Generally speaking, you cannot take down an opponent who is aware of you. If you're flying in with a parasail attached to your shoulders that might explain it.

More specifically, if you're trying to takedown an opponent and you're not getting the "takedown" prompt, then you missed a step and you cannot takedown that opponent. FC4 is sort of treating-you-like-an-idiot helpful in that sense.

I did sort of entirely miss the point of the topic: how to cancel the parachute. You cancel it by pressing shift and redeploying your wingsuit. But you can't really do anything in the wingsuit.

I guess I will just keep trying to press F while in the parachute.

For anyone looking through this later, you can do takedowns from your wingsuit by dropping on someone by holding E (or whatever your interact key is)
