i use DDU to remove my old Nvidia driver in safe mode
(you can get that here )
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
then when i install a new driver.... i select custom install ,and i only install
1. the Video Driver
2. HDMI audio ( so i can watch a movie on my 40 in HDTV ..\ my second screen )
3.PhysX
have alot less problems that way ...
see post # 63 here https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/916860/geforce-drivers/official-361-91-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feedback-thread-released-2-15-16-/5/
it says
Having shadowplay on crashes some Ubisoft games (i.e. Assassin's Creed III, IV, Far Cry IV...). The crash in AC happens after the initial "made by a team of multicultural folk" message. WHQL 361.43 worked just fine, but 361.75 was also affected. I'm using GV-N970WF3OC-4GD (Gigabyte GTX 970) with Windows 10 Enterprise.
or warn users that geforce experience does BREAK GAMES .... if you install that crap ware
Not that I really play FC4 anymore, but I still feel bad about a game I once much enjoy is no longer works properly.
AMD 16.11 Hotfix Drivers also can cause the game to crash on launch as well if you have the AMD gameing Evolved in game overlay enabled from what others have reported and that issue is also noted in the release notes for that Driver .
dunno what's up with Nvidia and why they have not corrected the problem yet , as from the links i provided Manuel Guzman from Nvidia did post on the Nvidia forums that yes they did replicate the problem back in the 361.75 driver , and that Driver was a mess for me anyway , from installing Nvidia optimus on my desktop system , and also that other bug where it treated my Asus Strix GTX 960 as a removeable device , you have to wonder how they are getting these drivers past WHQL testing
i also saw a post today where a user benchmarked the recent drivers in Cuda Z and found the new drivers are acually slower and performing worse then the December 361.43 drivers

Hmmmm.... Thanks, for your input WID-99, I give try unistall GeForce Exp, and reinstalling the new driver 362.91 before checking out the HOT FIX you posted.... I"m really, really getting Tooooo Old For this stuff...
Well now, I tried that and it was still stopping FRYCRY 3 & 4 down before they even got started. So G-Froce Exp, is now History. Did get a error code first try of installing 361.91, installer could not continue. anyway... now IT IS WORKING, FarCry on ULTRA setting will all the Nividia bells and whistle turned on, 60+ fps, on two GTX770.....No over clocking, running a 4770K w/ 16GB ram.
and i no longer have any of the other problems like the remove GPU or the Nvidia optimus stuff installing with my driver ..nvidia needs to release better drivers .. is the bottom line
