if you have the uplay only version of the game you must buy the Uplay only version of the season pass or DLC not the steam version
if you have the Steam version you must buy all your season pass and DLC from steam
the 2 versions are different and do not work together see
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1028058-season-pass-not-working
where did you buy your season pass from ?
where did you buy your base game from ?
if you bought both the base game and the season pass on Steam it'll work fine you just have to enter your season pass key in the Uplay Client under activate product then Steam will install the files , then check your game in your library under DLC and make sure it all has a check mark by it and shows as installed
( valve does not provide DLC or updates on games you bought somewhere else )
if you bought the uplay only version of the game you need to buy the Uplay only version of your DLC and season pass from either the Uplay shop or a webstore that sells the Uplay only version of the season pass or DLC
if you bought the DLC or season pass from a web retailer seek assitance from the retailer you bought the product from or a refund , if you bought it Direct from the Uplay shop , i'm pretty sure they do not offer refunds on digital content
the reason they do not work together is Steams Version of Far Cry 4 installs the files to a seperate location then what the Stand alone Uplay only version uses
steam uses
C:\ program files X86 \ Steam \ Steam apps \ common \ Far Cry 4
the uplay only version does not use that same directory for Far Cry 4
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the Steam version of Far Cry 4 also uses a differnt location of where the save files go to
with the Steam version of Far Cry 4 saves go in
C:\ program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ ubisoft game launcher \ savegames
*a folder with a long series of letters and numbers * \ 856
the Uplay only version of Far Cry 4 goes to
C:\ program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ ubisoft game launcher \ savegames
*a folder with a long series of letters and numbers * \ 420
thats why you have to buy the right version of the DLC or the season pass from the same retail outlet you bought your base game from.
its the same as if i install my DVD version of Call of Duty modern warfare 2 or 3 or 4
Steam does not provide files for DLC or updates for things you did not buy on Steam
dunno what else to tell ya man .. thats just how it works is your situation unforunate?
yes
and i have no clue what ya can do if Ubi can't fix it , your gonna have to rebuy the season pass to match the version of the game you purchased
as to the witcher 3 .. there is no DRM on gog games ..none at all .. as i got that game free from GOG when i bought my vid card
as to origin , had you bought your base game on Origin the Uplay version of the season pass would work on it ..the steam version of the season pass would not
and i'll bet thats why Ubisoft wanted to pull its games off Steam last year before FarCry 4 shipped .. because Valve wants them all re coded so they can sell them on the Steam platform
keep in Mind Valve charges every developer and publisher to distrubte a game on Steam
they take a % of each sale
if you bought your season pass key from a key site like all Key shop or G two a you risk buying the wrong key or even a deactivated one
and you have to contact them for a refund or see if you can exchange it for a Steam key
if you bought it direct from the Uplay shop i think their policy is all sales are final on digital content
I bought FC4 Gold edition which is include Season pass (at Steam). But when i launch the game it say that i need to buy Season pass. When i try to activate Seasonn Pass Key (from steam) in game it says that this kay has already been used in another account. I am very upset. I wrote to Uplay technical suuport, but they keep silent.
if you purchased the Steam version on a CD key site contact that retail outllet for Support
yes people scam people all the time on those Key sites , and sell stolen Deactivated Cd keys

if you have not checked yet
right click on your Far Cry 4 game
select Properties
select the DLC tab and make sure everything has a check mark
CD keys ore good for only 1 use once you activate a key its tied the the email address you used to open your Uplay account
even after you install the season pass it will still say buy the season pass on the main games screen , that does not go away with the Steam version of FarCry 4
as long as you see valley of the Yeti on the right hand side on the main menu screen .. its INSTALLED
also the far cry 4 gold Steam version comes with 2 keys not just one ..so make sure you enter all your keys in the u play client under activate product
to find your keys right clik on Far Cry 4 in your games library and select cd key
I use only one mail addressfor Steam ans Ubi.
I see valley of the Yeti and Escape from... on the right hand side on the main menu in game.
I entered one main Key (FC4 Gold) after game installation and second Key (Season pass) at UBI Soft account.
The game I was refering to on my comment is not FC4 it was south park the stick of truth. I bought the game off the Steam winter sale and bought the DLCs off the ubi store, got the keys for the DLCs from Ubi and I activated them on Steam. OP is asking about FC4 I simply used my example to show that DLCs bought from Ubi directly might work on steam but as I said only reason I risked it was because they were on sale for .50 cents.

i quote what UbiVolfbane said :
Please be sure that you purchase the content through steam if the game client itself was from steam. Steam has different methods of handling DLC and updates. Steam and Ubisoft DLC versions are not interchangeable and may not work together. I would contact the vendor regarding a possible refund or exchange for the steam version of the DLC.
also south park the stick of truth does not use Uplay when you launch the game as it was created by a seperate studio ..that game is only published and distrubuted by Ubisoft not created by Ubisoft
it was developed by Obsidian Entertainment
see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Park:_The_Stick_of_Truth
i have that game via Steam .... and no it does not use Uplay if you buy it from Steam
Far Cry 4 was developed by Ubisoft and yes you can buy it all over the internet and it does use Uplay , thats why the version of the season pass and DLC is differnt for Far Cry 4
1.if you buy the DVD version of the game it has 1 DRM ... UPLAY... no Steam involved
2.if you buy the game on AMAZON it has 1 DRM ... UPLAY.... no Steam involved
3.if you buy it direct from UBISOFT it has 1 DRM .. UPLAY ...no Steam involved
4.if you buy the game on greenman gameing it has 1 DRM .. UPLAY ....no Steam involved
5.if you buy the game on get games go it has 1 DRM ... UPLAY .. no Steam involved
6.if you buy the game on newegg it has 1 DRM ..UPLAY ...no Steam invloved
7.if you buy the game on gamers gate it has 1 DRM ... Uplay ...no Steam involved
if you buy it on Steam your forced into..2 DRM's - Steam + Uplay as your DRM's as both clients must be open to run the game
