Co-op connection issues
Recently got FarCry 4 in the steam sale. Mate has it as well, he has had it for a while.

I've played through enough of the story to enable Co-op mode, I've successfully been able to join other peoples games on and off (sometimes it just wont find any games), but have not played for any decent amount of time to see how stable that experience is.

When my friend and I tried playing today, we were unable to join each others sessions, i went to the menu, selected co-op and sent him an invite, he received the invite, the game started to load and then he received an error, unable to connect message.

So he sent me an invite, I tried to join him, it put me in the main menu, said it was trying to join, then said it was unable.

I then tried to join a random coop game. I was able to connect, but was then disconnected after roughly 10-20 seconds.

Is there a current issue with FC4/Uplay that is causing this? Is anyone else successfully able to play Co-op for a reasonable amount of time without any issues?

I know Uplay was having some issues earlier today, hoping its just related to that and will be resolved soon, but would like to hear from some other players before giving up and waiting for it to resolve itself.

Cheers.

This exact issue has happened to me... pretty much copy and paste. This problem needs to be addressed as the main reason why i bought his and for many others was to play online multiplayer with friends... which was a massive selling point and still is... hopefully they get off there arse and sort it but remember this is ubisoft and they havent shown us any difference! :P

some cable modems do have an internal firewall also that you may need to configure

same goes for both clients with Windows firewall settings too

Changed nothing and it now appears to be working. I get the feeling it may have been related to the issues with Uplay yesterday (even though by the time we tried FarCry 4, those issues had ceased).

Tried things like port forwarding (and just using DMZ) last night and the issue continued, but then we were able to play Valley of the Yetis about an hour after I posted this thread and tried Escape from Durgesh this morning, which is also working.

Thanks for the info anyhow.

If you are still looking for solution then try radmin vpn
You will create a network and your buddy will join to the network and then it should work just fine
