Poor Performance on modern PC

My pc is a i7 8700 and 3070ti 16gb ram got some drop to even 50 fps on outposts, the weird thing is that i do the exact same fps on every settings i use ultra-high-mid, i mean i got better performance on metro exodus RTX ultra...
i play fullhd.
Some advice to keep over 100 fps at least?

check your settings make sure your not using any of the Nvidia game works features

PCSS soft shadows will cut your FPS by quite a bit ,, set shadows to Ultra

i use an i 5 7600 K oc to 4.4 ghz (on all cores)
asus Z 270 motherboard
16 gig of Dual channel DDR 4 ram (crucial ballistix )
and an EVGA XC Gaming RTX 3060 12 gig gpu
and have no problem with the game in NVIDIA DSR playing at 2560 X 1440
my screens are both 1080 P 60HZ panels
(so yea i cheat and enable DSR in Nvidia control panel to play in 2560 X 1440 it cuts down on the need for higher AA )

one is 40 inch the other is 32inch ... screen 1 is a vizio the 40 inch is a seki both connected using an active display port adapters ports on my GPU)

Again my in Game settings are set to Custom
resolution 2560 X 1440
vsync - off
Quality settings
motion blur off - not a fan of it ..
Textures - Ultra
Shadows -Ultra <--- (Nvidia PCSS Soft Shadows will kill your FPS )
Post FX -Ultra
Geometry - Ultra
Vegetation- Ultra
Environment - Ultra
Water - Ultra
Ambient Occusion setting is SSBC
Antialising settings is SMAA
God rays - off- not a fan of how it looks (can make the game unstable..even on Titan X and GTX 980 Ti cards )
Fur - on
Trees relief -on
in Advanced settings
Triple buffering - off
Vsync mode - Normal

in Nvidia control panel, i made these changes
Anisotropic Filtering = 16 X
Set Power Management Mode = Prefer Max performance

Again ,game looks fine to me and plays stutter free on my system with zero Problems or huge FPS dips


give those settings a shot and see if it helps

your 3070 TI should handle the game fine without the need for DSR and possibly play it decent in 4 k / 60 FPS ..but its a trick you can try

oh and i always enable low latency mode in Nvidia control panel as well

Got the same issue, dips below 50fps constantly on an rtx3070. No clue why.

wow thanks for not including any system information in your post ..no one can assist you till ya do .. no the game will not run well on modern CPU's you may need to limit the number of CPU cores used ..far cry 4 shipped in 2014 after all

not 2023

please contact ubisoft support if you have an issue and do not want to look into your issue with a modern CPU on google on an older game title

I play on RTX 3060 12gb, Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb RAM DDR4 3200Mhz, game installed on sata ssd, display 1080ph 60Hz, graphic settings ULTRA and vsync on and I haven't any problem with game. Check your hardware and drivers/windows settings.

We always recommend keeping all drivers and OS up to date, as sometimes outdated drivers can cause some issues with certain games. However, a specific crash might be related to the specific PC and its configuration/installed software, etc.

I got my fps boosted with just disabling TXAA and going with the SMAA. It looks very clean and does not take that much on a perfomance

managed to fix fps? Zephyrus G14 laptop here (r7 5700hs&3060) able to run any game but that with normal fps
