Do I need to play story missions in the given order to advance?
Hey there,
I have a problem with some side-story missions, specifically campaign missions by 'Noore' and 'Yohi & Reggie'. I do not want to play this missions (in fact I would more like to kill those 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), but at the moment I do not see any other campaign missions availble.

Do I have to liberate some outposts or just wait some time until other REAL campaign missions are available?

Or do I have to play those 2 campaign missions in order to advance the storyline?

Thx for your help in advance.

The story missions come from various sources, not just Amita and Sabal but also folks that offer side missions after their introduction. For example,in Act 2 Sermon on the Mount is story mission from Longinus, and The Protector's Arrival is a story mission from Yogi & Reggie.

If you're trying to play straight through all the story missions without doing side missions, this can be a little confusing. What you need to do is, before every mission, look at all the side missions available and then see what new mission becomes available immediately after you finish your current mission; if there's only one that will invariably be the story mission. If it gets hard to keep track, you might also have a look at the Far Cry 4 Story Missions[farcry.wikia.com] page on the Far Cry Wiki.

Thx for the help. I just checked some walkthroughs, and it seems I do have to play some of those missions, but not all of them.

Right. So if only one new mission comes up after you've completed a mission, that's the story mission, otherwise you'll have to check the wiki or take an educated guess.

you definetly have to do the longunis mission early in the game called sermon on the mount
at the end of it he will tell you that paul has a herion shipment ready

then you will see a symbol of two crossed swords in yellow on your map

you have to do a B mission for Bhadra to meet yogi and reggie so you can meet Norre
and fight in the arena

also you need to do the Noore mission after you do the sleeping saints mission you must complete
as that leads to the city of pain mission (this unlocks several weapons once completed )

after that you need to do 3 missions for Willis once you complete another balance of power mission (looks like 2 yellow crossed swords on your map )

choose sabal or amita its the chemistry mission

advanced chem or basic chem (depending on who you choose )

the a W will show up

you have to do all 3 Willis missions until you get a Key to the north mission to open the northern region of the map.... the last wiliis mission puts you in prision and you get to meet pagan again

you must esacpe that prison to progress and open the north

side missions also add experience points that you need to use to unlock other things in the game , like upgraded skills and unlock weapons

so its a good idea to clear all side missions and collect masks journals and letters as ya go
so you can bulid up your arsenal ..as well as unlock towers

if ya need karma points do any purple dots that show up on your map ..as well as unlock towers, collect masks , rescue people and diffuse bombs as well as supply support

oh and killing leapords also will add karma points for some odd reason

Uh, maybe you want to put spoiler tags on that, dude?

And I've never seen killing leopards, per se, add karma points. However, killing any animal with only edged weapons (arrows, knives) will add a bit of Karma. There are full details on the Karma[farcry.wikia.com] page on the wiki.
