read the minimum system reqiurements before you buy games and software
for FarCry 4 you need a Quad core CPU and a decent DX 11 vid card for FarCry 4 ..thats been Known since before the game shipped
GTX 460 or better or AMD 5850 or better
if its an older Intel core 2 CPU you may be able to get a core 2 quad pretty cheap nowadays
and just update your bios and pop it in
as far as your Nvidia 9500 GT ..dump it ... and just buy a cheap GTX 950 or 750 Ti card or even look on e bay for a used GTX 460 or GTX 580
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/232081772234?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
i've seen them sell for under 100 bucks ..as to the CPU if its a socket 775 even an Intel core 2 Quad Q 6600 will run the game..they only cost like 30 bucks and overclock nicely
https://starmicroinc.net/intel-core-2-quad-q6600-2-4ghz-oem-cpu-sl9um-hh80562ph0568m/
i run the game fine on an old socket 775 core 2 Quad Q 9650
but i did run FarCry 4 for about a yr with only a Q 6600 with no problem
you will need a DX 11 gpu tho .. i use an ASUS Strix GTX 960
previous vid card was an ASUS AMD R 9 270 X .. you can find those cheap on e bay too probably
example http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/162200705416?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true
even if you got the game to load it would run really really slow and only on low settings on a card as old as an Nvidia 9500 GT
that card only supports 25.6 gig of memory bandwith and only has 32 pixel and vertex shaders version 4.0 = DX 10
the minimum supported GPU a GTX 460 supprts 115 gig a second of memory bandwidth and has over 300 pixel and vertex shaders version 5.0 = DX 11
so yea the minimum supported GPU is 4 X faster then what ya have now as far as memory and has ten times as many pixel shaders ...
compare them your self ..
your card is on this page
http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video_g.htm
they are all DX 10 cards that are NOT supported by Far Cry 4
DX 11 cards are on this one
and you need a GTX 460 or better (hardware wise not just number wise )
http://pclinks.xtreemhost.com/video.htm
sorry but your only solution = upgrade the PC you have now .. or build one that supports at least the far cry 4 minimum system requirements
Far Cry 4 Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM

Thanks
my last card an ASUS AMD R 9 270 X needed 2 .....6 pin connectors
remember AMD cards are more power hungry and may require an extra power connector
that your power supply may not have
your GT 9500 GT may not use the same power connectors as an AMD R 9 380 X
so look into that first
my STRIX GTX 960 uses a single 6 pin one same as my my old ASUS nvidia 9800 GT used
an again i do not know if a 9500 GT even needed a power connector ..i never bought one
bought my ASUS 9800 GT years ago ..and sold it yrs ago ..along with the system its in and the power supply i had way back then
you will need a power supply with at least 550 watts or better i think ?? with an R 9 380 X card
check that out with the manufacturers page of the card that you buy , as they do usually list the power supply requirements as well as number of power pins needed
the 950 ones need power i think (single 6 pin )
same .. i think the new AMD 470 cards only need one 6 pin ..not sure
depends on the card you buy
a 380 X tho will need 2 power connectors i'm pretty sure ..some use a 6 pin + an 8 pin
some 2 X 6 pin
sure you can install DX 11 all day ...but the chip on a 9500 GT is not capable of running shader model 5.0 ...only 4.0
look it up on Nvidia
Far Cry 3 used a different version of the Dunia 2 engine and supported DX 9 and 10
Far Cry 4 only supports DX 11 not 9 and 10
