Runs like garbage
If you're considering buying this, don't if you want fps anything above 60 or lower majoirty of the time. I have a decent PC and it's running like ♥♥♥♥ even on the lowest settings.

Ryzen 5 3600
16gb of ram
Radeon 5700XT

My specs are way above the recommended specs, this game is horribly unoptimized.

There's something wrong for sure.
I've got a Ryzen 5 5600X, 16 gigs ram and the same gpu and am able to run the game at ultra settings.
Don't know about fps, but I'm pretty sure they are well above 60 since there's no stuttering at all.

Not sure what then because every other game runs flawless for me. Only far cry 4 run like poop for me. I get 60 most of the time but also other times it's below that and I have a 75hz monitor so it's never smooth at all. Putting it on the maximum low settings only gets to maybe 76-80 fps, but it looks horrible.

runs great here in a gtx 1060 6 gig gpu with an i 5 7600 K oc to 4.4 ghz
if you have soft shadows on disable it use ultra for your shadow settings soft shadows will kill your FPS

DO not have soft shadows on. As I said, even on the lowest settings, it runs horribly.

i would think a RX 5700 XT should run the game great ..i was gonna buy one a few months ago // waiting now for a 3060 ti to come in stock or maybe a 12 gig 3060

might be drivers i know AMD in the past had driver issues with this title ..but i thought by now they fixed those ..heck i even ran this title on a ASUS r 9 270 X with out much of a problem ..years ago ..could only do med to high settings on that old GPU

swapped that out for an asus GTX 960 in my old rig .. that only had a core 2 quad Q 9650 oc to 3.6 ghz to run the game in high / ultra settings

Was on a different driver version now i'm on the current new released one, both the same, nothing changed. 21.1.1. I've got all my PC settings set up for max performance as well, every other game runs way above fine. In BF4 and BF1 I get over 80fps on max settings. Cyberpunk even runs better for me than this game does.

When the 5700xt released it had serious problems for me, but after a while they fixed every single one. I now no longer have any Issues with this GPU. I'll try those things, but I doubt it'll do anything, thanks.

your welcome man i wish ya luck fixing it ..again the game has been great here for years
bought it the night it shipped back in 2014 on steam .. have over 1200 hours on my steam copy .. and in early 2019 i bought a uplay only copy when it was dirt cheap .. thats all i run now , so i do not need 2 clients open to run the game + my map editor on my Uplay copy , works PERFECT ..the steam version has a bug .. since Steam changes the install paths as well as even save file locations and added more DRM

again good luck man ... hope you find your fix !

I've done all the performance settings edit in the text file that they supplied in the guide, and all it did was make my game load longer when it was instant on my SSD. It also seems to have DECREASED my fps in this area by 5fps.
-=SOF=-WID99 Jan 27, 2021 @ 2:30pm
sounds like you may need to contact UBI support then ..

runs great here .. always has
leichenteil Jan 27, 2021 @ 2:31pm
You've got vsync disabled?
Cause this would explain a lot.

Actually as I left the city area my fps increased by about 5-10. Thanks for the help! Anyone who has an AMD GPU I recommend you change these settings to this exactly in the GamerProfile.xml in your documents/ my games folder for far cry 4
