Far cry 4: Difference between normal and gold edition

I'm thinking of buying all far cry games and one thing I noticed was there were 2 versions of the game "base game" and "gold edition". What will happen If I want to play the gold edition after buying and finishing the base game. Would gold edition get cheaper or will It be registered as a different game? "This question can be applied to far cry 3 and its deluxe edition"

base game = BASE game only

gold = base game and all DLC included
valley of the yeti , hurk deluxe , escape from durgesh ect ect all included with GOLD

your welcome hope ya enjoy the game as much as i did

and i do own the gold version ..and suggest getting it as valley of the yeti was a fun adventure ..and the HURK pak adds some decent weapons to start the game with


i own both a UPLAY only GOLD copy and i have a steam GOLD copy of the game as well
( i only use the uplay one anymore as its less DRM )

Okay, ready to purchase Far Cry 4 - Gold. But then, there is a button to add all DLC, which includes the Season Pass. What is the point of that? If Gold has all the DLC content, why get the Season Pass?

Season Pass holders have access to one exclusive mission (plus you get it with gold). Just buy Far Cry 4 - Gold and you should have everything, including the Season Pass.
