Are the DLCs worth getting?

I'm thinking of getting far cry 5 but maybe itd be a good idea to experience the dlcs first?

I think so, valley of the yetis and escape from durgesh are worth playing, something different by each. Are you easily spooked? Coz valley of the yetis will do it haha

wait till the steam version of the season pass is on sale

DO NOT BUY YOUR DLC on any other site other then steam ... it will not work if your base game is from STEAM.. you need the steam version of the FAR CRY 4 DLC

escape from durgesh is not what it sounds like and is a separate campaign from the main game

it is a grind MODE that yes can be fun

you have 30 min to make it to a helicopter ,, your placed in a region of North Kyrat with few weapons

as you do tasks , time is added to the clock so yes can take 3 to 4 hours or more to complete and you must find and unlock more guns as you go , as well as SKILLS

if you die you have to start it all over again keeping only the weapons and skills you have unlocked ..can be hard

the HURK DELUXE package adds a few gun unlocks to your main game and a few extra side mission to your main game , yes you have to START a new game to use em and see them

by the way the knife that gets added the butchers machete is only available in the arena..just makes your blade look like a tanto knife , and ONLY IN THE ARENA MODE

Valley of the Yeti is also A SEPARATE Campaign from the main game you access it on the right side of your main game windows under CHRONICLES same as escape from durgesh DLC


you wake up after a plane crash in the snow filled mountains

you have tasks as well as weapons to find and skills to unlock again


(again under the MP side of things of your main game screen )

VOY is kinda fun as yes you can learn how to do a takedown on a YETI

bad part is YES that yeti's will rip you into little pieces if your not well armed ..you have to search the valley for weapons ..if ya get stuck look in the steam guides section maps are available

(also be aware YETI's can chuck rocks at you and kill you !)

and yes other animals will also rip you to shreds .. so stock up on ammo an green leaves in VOY

you must survive 5 nights of attacks from the yeti cult guys .. you can roam free during the day light in between those nights and explore the valley find weapons / upgrade skills / collect ammo and plants

the MP unlocks are pretty much useless as no one plays far cry 4 MP after the idiots who released trainers ........... about a month after far cry 4 shipped killed that ..

that ruined the MP portion of the game .. then the servers filled with people running unlimited ammo with god mode and speed / flying hacks

and no you probably wont find very many servers running any more due to that !

..seems we can not have nice things in 2021 same as back in 2014 when it comes to FAR CRY MP games

but both VOY and escape from durgesh can be played in co op mode so yes you can invite a friend to join you .. you must have them added as a friend in UBI connect also ..and both players must at least have completed at least the first ACT of FAR CRY 4 when you meet up with HURK in game and ended ACT 1 of the main FAR CRY 4 game .

rn i dont think ill get it as im kinda eyeing far cry 5 and new dawn tho. but who knows maybe the previous fc games will go on sale when 6 comes out and ill buy it and fc5+nd by then.
