Animals ruining Outposts

I loved clearing outposts in Far Cry 3.

Is there anyway to stop the damn animals from clearing my outposts for me?? In Far Cry 3 you actually had to set an animal loose from it's cage for that to happen. In Far Cry 4 wild animals just show up all of a sudden and do all the work for me. It's not challenging whatsoever and it's happened to 5 of the 7 outposts of cleared so far.

Will bumping up the difficulty prevent animals from doing this?

You can restart outposts from inside, there's a pile of trash that has an option to "Return to outpost"

Are you sure you are not accidentally throwing bait into the outpost? It is very rare that random animals would do this.

One time i was playing co-op and we were about to take an outpost, but a elephant killed eveyone, at least we got an XP bounus for not being detected

I had a flock of eagles take out 80% of a fortress once... Funny sight.

take out the animals ..use a hunting syringe and kill em with a silent weapon like a bow , or you can lure them away by moving back and chucking bait ..then back up wip a molotove their way .. animals HATE fire and will move away from it \ or use them to assist you , you can be quite quiet ..if you take your time

that first out post ya take ..yea no matter what ....once ya release an elephant he's gonna go after the ppl that locked him up , same is true with one other outpost that holds an elephant in the cage , elephants have a good memory

remember stay low and OUT of sight

if ya want the game to be harder try the imersion mod and yes play in HARD mode
