Can you guys hear Ambient music while free roaming?

I heard there were patches introduced many years ago that eliminated ambient music while exploring.

I heard that Ubisoft removed the ambient music in their most recent patch because apparently it caused the game to crash. Now Ubisoft claims that there was no ambient music to begin with. They know the problem's there, they just won't fix it because they're focusing more on everything else, especially making new games.
It's a shame that to this day there is no proper fix for this issue. You'd think that for something simple like ambient music, there would be a fix, but no, there isn't that I know of.

The "fix" is actually downloading an older patch. I downloaded version 1.6 and the ambient music was back. I recommend looking it up and trying to download it.

So I heard. But I don't know where to find it, or if it's at some sketchy website where there's a ton of viruses.
