Most of my time spent has been breaking masks or tearing down posters. How & why are the campaign missions this badly hidden from a single player game that's supposed to have some sort of story? lol
S - Sabal
A - Amita
B - Bhadra
L - Longinus
Yellow Golden path symbol with two machetes, sometimes hard to see on the map. Which ever marker appears on the radar, point in that direction and follow that line on the map to locate it.
There's also the first Shangri La mission that needs doing after meeting Yogi and Reggie at Ghale Homestead. Look for the Shangri La Thangka symbol on the map. Click the filter button and see what the symbol looks like under collectables.
The red icon comes later, you're not up to that stage yet.
I don't have those letters or the golden machetes (yeah map is a bit cluttered with icons) Nothing appears on the mini map, but that is how I found the others before.
I'll check Yogi & Reggie, but if that's the "Y" letter on the map, it just says XP & rupees awarded. Found a video on YT for the airport as part of a story mission with comments from others thinking it was bugged too.
Had more weirdness happen while playing. Running then suddenly slowing down to a stop then slowly sliding backwards then running forwards again lol Enemies being bullet proof & not reacting to being shot. I'm wondering what'll happen next =]
yes you have to do some L and Y missions to keep the story going..as completing a few of them does Unlock other missions to appear on your MAP .
for balance of POWER missions you have to choose between Amita's way or Sabals they will be slightly different and do change the outcome for the people of Kyrat in the end of the game .. you must play the game at least twice to do em all
some missions have outcomes based on the choices you make in the balance of power missions.
(there are 10 in total , 5 for Amita , 5 for Sabal, so you really have to play the game twice to play em all)
Amita Mission: Hunt or Be Hunted or
Sabal Mission: Rebel Yell
Amita Mission: Reclamation or
Sabal Mission: Burn it Down
Amita Mission: Advanced Chemistry or
Sabal Mission: Basic Chemistry
Amita Mission: Culture Wars or
Sabal Mission: Cease and Desist
Amita Mission: The Valley of Death (if Amita was Choosen for the 4th Balance)
Sabal Mission: Take Cover (if Sabal was Choosen for the 4th Balance)
(the only way to play all 10 is play the game twice)
Choosing Amita you will get a slightly differing mission order, and missions , then you will get, if you choose Sabal , as well as the end game outcome (example if Sabal leads the golden path, the mission City of Pain is a differnt mission , Sabal wants you to rescue prisioners , Amita wants pictures of them being tortired, and the scene you see play out during the mission called Payback changes as well , plus the way you get the chemical truck in A Key to the North, and the scene you'll see after Don't look Down, if Amita leads she will be there , if its Sabal you see him ,and that also changes how you have to get the chemical truck to open the north)
those are indicated by a symbol of two yellow Crossed swords as pointed out above by Boju
S - Sabal
A - Amita
B - Bhadra
L - Longinus
Y- Yogi and reggie missions
N -Mission for Norre
W Willis missions .. note you must do all 3 of the ones for Willis to get to the mission a KEY to the North that will allow you to unlock the northern region of the map
IF YOU GET LOST ..google it
or simply look here

its also a good idea to do all side missions as they appear as they will add XP and skill points you need, to unlock other weapons and items and as well as other SKILLS .
also if your taken over outposts keep coming Under attack ....Defend them .. you'll add more XP and gain resources like ammo and what you can loot from the bodies and sell to buy better guns ...if it gets annoying take out the local FORT ..this will stop the outposts near it to keep getting attacked .
nothing bad happens if your fail to defend an out post under attack .. other then you lose out on an opportunity to gain XP Points and loot .
When you meet Y&R (for the first time or second time, i don't remember), they'll explain about the missing Thangka painting, split into several pieces and spread out over Kyrat. I think this is where you're up to. Need to find the location for the first piece and enter Shangri La.
The location symbol Shangri La Thangka icon is on the map but wont show up on your radar until you're close or make a way point to it. Icon being also blue makes it hard to spot.
I am replaying it and everything else at this point i've done besides more Longinus missions besides the first. L is all that's left right now after saving the temple and doing the first Shangri.
I do kind of remember about 4 or 5 years back first playing this game i was confused about the red symbol at the airport because nothing else was around.
It's been awhile since replaying. I have finished the game a few times afterwards so i know i figured it out, i just can't remember what is required at this point. i'll keep at it and see.
Try the next Shangri La mission anyhow if haven't done so. It's located near the Varshakot, Paul De Pleur's fortress.
alot of people skip the B on the map and get lost ..you have to talk to Bhadra and she tells you about your fathers death .. only after that does the first yogi and REG mission pop up with the location of your fathers old home ..then like i said you get thrown to the Arena and meet Norre
Completed a few missions for Willis, which included the airport. The wingsuit mission took a few attempts. Also found this video (before the wingsuit part) I wonder how many times he played this lol

Now up to the mission where I have to stealth through the prison in the snow =)
Yeah +1
So what did you have to do Rotting In My Chair? Lol love the name btw.
I was new to Far Cry format at the time. If you are new to the format, it is about exploring the world and discovering. Main missions will appear as you do that. Especially as you complete towers.
I needed to choose the "Y" letter. The reason I ignored it was because it warded XP & Rupees which I wasn't interested in. I assumed that it was like a repeatable mission for if/when you wanted or for end game. Then it allowed me to complete missions for Willis (that airport one too). It was my fault for not choosing it, but only because the game's description made it unclear to me that it was needed to continue progressing the story. I can often be facetious or saracstic/snarky at times, but mostly enjoyed FarCry 4.
Even playing on PS4 pro the game does look great still (4K @60fps) using the controller is fine for me as I'm used to it, same with KB+M although far more precise. I started buying more games on PS4 in sales or for the physical copy as they're were sometimes cheaper &/or I liked the covers & art work. My experience with Far Cry 4 has been very up & down, but it's been in my backlog for a while having started it & stopped playing. Finished Primal not long ago so planned to jump into this straight after.
Not looked into it, but it might be possible to connect KB+M to PS4. Oh & the name is what I think when I'm playing games for long periods of time lol
Well said and very understandable. I probably would have thought the same.
Enjoy _b
