(you'll see also an AMD splash screen at the start of FC 5 .. not Nvidia )
and i gotta say on my GTX 1060 6 gig card FarCry 5 does look alot better then FC 4 .. guess it depends on your screen , settings , and resolution
HDTexturesEnabled="0"
don't bother trying to use it .. since the HD pak is not out yet
Has absolutely zero to do with AMD partnership. The game does not magically have dynamic vegetation, increased particle count, higher complexity objects, better sound design, and improved effects just because you stuck a bargain bin card into your PC. There's no specialized AMD effects at all. (When I say you, i don't mean you personally)
Textures in FC5 actually already look better than FC4. Please watch the video and you'll see what I'm talking about more clearly.
also. I have FC4 and FC5 set to the maximum graphics, on a gtx 1080ti on the same screen (1440p, 165hz). It's got nothing to do with that lol
Far Cry 4
1,272 hrs on record
also FC 5 just shipped a week ago .. yes they have patches that will be coming , probably with each DLC they release ..they did the same with both FC 4 and Primal
It has zero to do with the screen. Why are you making these assumptions? The evidence is right there in front of you. Look at the dynamic vegetation. It's completely removed from Far Cry 5. A screen doesn't make the plants in the game move...
with Nvidia you had more options
there is ZERO HBAO + for ambient occlusion in 5
only TXAA ..and SMAA are available in FC 5
again they do change the engine for each version of the game
And again. Watch.. the.. video. anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion can only do so much to improve image quality. They removed WAY MORE than that. Particles, dynamic smoke, vegetation, object complexity.. these are not nvidia/amd specific effects.
Ok.. you clearly are missing many points
shipped version was 1.2.0 for FC 4 .. current version 1.10.0
lol alright. You let me know when they patch in things that change how the entire game functions. I'll be right here.
How is this spam in any way?
I'm surprised at some parts being 'dumbed-down', though. Pity about the trees not reacting to a nearby chopper, for instance. (Would've liked to see how a water surface would've reacted to a low flying chopper.)
And maybe the difference of night color in FC4 and FC5 was/is just an artistic thingy? I like 'm both, anyways.
Anyway, surprising. Wouldn't stop me from buying the game, though (waiting for a summer sale, here, lol). And to be clear; I didn't take your vid as such a critique. Just an honest vid/comparison.
Maybe some patches will 'fix' some of these things (although, again, I don't find these game-breaking). We'll see.
