The game won't save my checkpoints
I spent an hour playing just to realize the game won't save my checkpoints. Apparently it's a known issue, but the fixes I tried won't work. Since the game is running via Uplay there is one big mess with the save files location. Anyone has a new fix that works? I tried running as adminstrator whatever still no sollution.

This is frustrating. :dsmagic:

works perfect here ,,,did you install the updated version of Uplay ?

I think it updates on it's own but I'll do that. Also reinstalling the game now...

you can't make a manual save until you complete the games Prolouge and reach the village at banapur

from then on i make my saves from within a safe house ...
you also can not save in the middle of a mission .. far cry 3 worked the same way

also try shutting off the Uplay cloud save setting ..i keep that setting off as it can cause Problems ..if your PC crashes or you get disconncted...

with the steam version of the game, saves your game to

C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 856


the Uplay only version they go in
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 420

I reached the rebels village and it didn't save :/
But thank you for your help. I'll try that after i am done reinstalling :)

when you reinstall the game Steam will install an old outdated version of Uplay with the game files (the game is two yrs old after all )

you have to uninstall that version of Uplay ..and install the latest version from the Uplay web page for best results

you can get the latest version of Uplay here https://uplay.ubi.com/
