Is this 100% unplayable on dual core?
Is this game playable at all on dual core? Asking for another person.

Theres an injector hack im aware of but have never used it, don't know how it works or how reliable it is.

Strictly 2 core cpus genuinly wont run but 2 core cpus with HT will.

Thanks guys, the CPU in question is i3 550 which is lowest req for Far Cry Primal. It does have hyperthreading but is over 6 years old.

Oh, so that's a dual core HT (4 virtual cores), i'm playing it on an i3 4170 paired with r7 360 and it runs pretty well. Maybe you will have to turns some things down but it will run due to the HT.

Yes it did work pretty dang well, even the map editor.

many of this games main assets run off CPU core 3 (or on an I3 Hyperthreded CPU thread 3 )

if you have a straight up dual core CPU there is no core or hyper thread #3 for to load the game on = black screen

core #4 seems to come into play when you open the map edit program and it takes a decent hit on that core or CPU thred once ya open it

cores or threads number 1 and 2 are also in use for both the main game as well as the map edit program or possibly in use for windows and Uplay achievments to work properly

several Intel I3 CPUs have been reported to work ,,not the same with several AMD ones tho since some older AMD quad core CPU's wont load the game ..as some AMD chips may require you to check your bios settings
(and it depends on the CPU in question as well as the bios you have )

see this thread on the Ubi forums if you have an AMD quad core CPU
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1009501-black-screen-crash-on-startup-another-possible-fix-(quad-core-processors)

i ran the game fine on an old intel core 2 quad Q6600 (desktop CPU) the day it shipped ..and used open hardware monitor to look where the load got put ..and yes CPU core #3 ..seems to be where the main game load goes ..so yes on a hyperthreading Intel dual core it may work ..but you might see a bit of decreased performance ..again depends on the CPU in question.

but ya still need a good GPU to run the game with decent settings
