you can feel free to comp[lain on how badly the game runs of your current PC or FIX your issue
and bad news far cry 5 runs on the Dunia engine and when i played it @ e 3 2017 in June ... it ran great
they are not gonna change the engine they used in far cry 5 as it WORKS
again sorry sir , you can join the many that hate the game that have no clue how to maximize their PC performance ..and compare it to other games that really did not need as much horrsepower to run the game
dude just go away already your nonsese is seriously boring me
have a great day and go play a game that your weak vid card will handle
cool story bro...now shoo away
Wid99 is right though, "entry level".
Refund your laptop, keep the game.
it stutters and tanks like crazy in certain areas....running through the bushes and high foliage is fine but at certain outposts all hell breaks lose..it feels like the game is downloading porn
Here's a tip that I've kept on file for FC4 that help my system with stutter -
* edit the gamerprofile.xml file - file located in c:\users\<profilename>\my documents\my games\far cry 4\
Locate the entry called GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1"
If the "1" is anything else, change it to "1".
If this isn't set, I get CONSTANT stuttering in the game. Just something to try.
Max Pre Rendered Frames = 1 or 3 depending on your GPU
Set Power Management Mode = should always me prefer max performance .. yes as well in Windows power manegment settings under power profiles .
he can also try to other settings in his gamer profile .xml too
https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/954533-EASY-FIX-Stutter-Frame-Skipping-Far-Cry-4!-Forums
SEE THE THRED DIFFERNT SETTINGS DO HELP DEPENDING ON YOUR GPU , thats been known since the game came out.
the in game presets as well as Nvidia game works options and presets from geforce exp will always screw up your games ..i never install geforce exp its a waste o space
tho that one setting
DisableLoadingMip0 = "0"
to
DisableLoadingMip0 = "1"
really only forces your graphics to medium (which he should use on a 1050 ti ) in a round about way ..again Mr gray sorry you have SLI cards don't ya and run in 4 K .. still ?
the op has a single entry level GTX 1050 ti
yes about = to a GTX 960 OVERCLOCKED CARD
and i think may be expecting his 1050 ti to run the game in higher settings then his PC can
I've actually found I have to enter the the command via the xml file and not through the NVidia control panel or the game will stutter (seems to be an issue with the game on that front, versus a driver problem).
Yep, I run SLI cards, play in 4k at 60fps - game runs great these days as long as I keep NVida gameworks stuff off (to avoid crashing), and that little xml script mod.
Coincidentally I just finished a recent play through since I'd upgraded to 1080Ti cards - since the game is a few years old it only uses around 40-50% of each GPU which is kinda nice - the game used to beat the crap out of my 780Ti SLI back when it first came out, hah.
think DDR 4 playes an issue too to , and reduces some of the bottle neck
but the OP{ has a single gtx 1050ti card
his issues may be old bios , slow ram , old chipset drivers
i ran this game fine with my old rig and it had DDR 2 ram for gods sake and a intel core 2 quad from 2007 or he installed Nvidia gimp works (geforce exp with his drivers )
the only time i editied my XML file was back with my core 2 quad and a AMD a 1 gig HD 7750 GPU
You'll have to let me know how FC5 runs once you get it - I'll be curious to see what your CPU utilization is like.
