Why does the game freeze the second i move

so i deleted my game files checked the cache and uninstalled and reinstalled my game but as soon as i start the game and it lets me move i immediatley freeze and i have to alt tab out to close it any ideas on how to fix this?

What are you running ~ system specs ~ OS ~ error messages or notifications ?

Also; take a look through a thread here in the forum titled ~ [Solved] Stuck on " Press any key " ... specifically regarding information on third party programs known to seriously screw with the game launching/running properly.

when i said i had to alt tab out there was no error message the sound just kept on playing and i was stuck there
also i was not stuck on the home menu i can get past the intro sequence withNvidia/ubisoft and i can start a new game with cutscenes just fine but once the mission starts and it allows me to move around the second i look to my left i freeze

make sure you game is not loading on your Intel IGPU

check your setting in Nvidia Control panel

also make sure your PC is set to Prefer max performance ..not power saving or balanced

what do you want me to check in the control panel
its not running on my intel igpu
and its set to max preformance

have you verified your game files as well as set both Steam as well as Uplay to run as Admin ?


also what driver version did you install for your Nvidia GPU ?

also see the tips section about backround applications as i know many Dell \ alienware systems come filled with crap that auto loads at start up with Windows

exit all ; that crap in the task bar before you launch your game , as like stan said it could just be a stupid backround app .. and with older versions of Win 10 you may need to shut off tablet input services ..so make sure win 10 is up to date .. on some systems Windows Game mode may play a role ..as theis game shipped well before Win10 was even released

for the record game runs great with Win 10 here on several of my systems including one with an older intel Q 9650 and a GTX 960

Well mine didn't actually have much crap on it when it loaded but I found my problem in true first room if I turned left I would crash that's all I had to is NOT turn to the left

game looks fine to me and plays stutter free on my system with zero crashes

again i did install Razer Cortex game booster version 7.0 as it does seem to help with this game

Alright SOf thank you for your advice but I did find the problem

In the start room if I turned left and faced a specific wall it would crash my game and for your other questions no I did not have a controller connected and my Laptop can't handle VR it's 1 level of card below the minimum
