these are Balance of power missions
when you must choose either Amita's Plan or Sabals .. this missions change the out come of the game for the People of Kyrat
Amita Mission: Hunt or Be Hunted or
Sabal Mission: Rebel Yell
Amita Mission: Reclamation or
Sabal Mission: Burn it Down
Amita Mission: Advanced Chemistry or
Sabal Mission: Basic Chemistry
Amita Mission: Culture Wars or
Sabal Mission: Cease and Desist
Amita Mission: The Valley of Death (if Amita was Choosen for the 4th Balance)
Sabal Mission: Take Cover (if Sabal was Choosen for the 4th Balance)
(the only way to play all 10 is play the game twice)
Choosing Amita you will get a slightly differing mission order, and missions , then you will get, if you choose Sabal , as well as the end game outcome (example if Sabal leads the golden path, the mission City of Pain is a differnt mission , Sabal wants you to rescue prisioners , Amita wants pictures of them being tortired, and the scene you see play out during the mission called Payback changes as well , plus the way you get the chemical truck in A Key to the North, and the scene you'll see after Don't look Down, if Amita leads she will be there , if its Sabal you see him ,and that also changes how you have to get the chemical truck to open the north)
for now go back to the monestary as thats where they are after you do that longinus mission as he tells you about the opium at the tea factory
remember you must do all 3 W (Willis) missions to get to the mission to open the nothern region of the game map ..
you wont see Willis pop up till after norre is taken care of ...
again you have a choice on her fate and always if you run out of things to do .. take over more outposts as well as Forts .. taking over forts will stop your outposts from red army trying to re attack your outposts ..but you still need at least 2 outpost retailations to advance in the Skill tree in the default game ...to gain a skill
Yesterday I, by chance, noticed the yellow symbol, same as the "saving" sign.
I went there and both Sabal and Amita were there. This resulted in "The Sleeping Saints"
mission starting. Anyway, thanks for your detailed explanation.
You can replay missions and have multiple save files . its not that hard to do .
here are some of my backed upsave files (i have the Steam version of the base game )
i do not have saves for every mission yet ..this is just a bunch that i backed up
think i missed a free shagri la missions bit most of the game is covered
http://www.filedropper.com/farcry4saves
(the + number means the save comes with Skill points i did not use yet )
just copy and paste my saves to the right folder or copy the entire 856 folder for that mission over if you have the steam version .. with the uplay only version re name the folder to 420
again ....the + numbers mean those saves have unused skill points you can use on some of the saves
each save consists of 4 small files
1.save
1.save.upload
2.save
2.save.upload
one is an auto save the other is a user created save point, the other ones are upload files that save to the cloud ,and it will always make those .upload files even if you shut off the cloud save option in Uplay settings
these will not work with a pirated copy of FarCry 4 you have to own the legit version
with the steam version of the game, saves your game to
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 856
the Uplay only version they go in
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 420
to use these you do have to shut off the Uplay Cloud save option in the Uplay client settings .. but you should do this anyway, as it can create problems with a corrupted cloud save (it happened to me with FarCry 3 years ago and i had to delete my saved games and start the game all over , was the only way to fix it )
open Uplay FIRST
go to settings and uncheck the option that says
Enable Cloud Save Sycronization for supported games
oh and ALWAYS before you start a new game go to that 856 (or 420 ) folder and clear out and delete the saves you have left in there ...BEFORE you start a new game , not doing so can make the game go a bit WONKY , like one time i did not clear that out.... and i had ZERO Pagans Wrath convoys appear at all in my game , and i was unable to unlock the vehichle take down Skill.
if you wish to back up your own save files first see this webpage
