Cannot Progress past City Of Pain (Far Cry 4)

I successfully complete the mission and deliver Paul to the Golden Path and get the advice that his fortress is weakened. At this point, the game 1) does not allow me to fast travel to any outpost ("Fast Travel is Not available"), 2) when I Save and Quit (Save only is not available) then relaunch the game, the City Of Pain mission restarts with me trying to get aboard the truck to go to Paul's party. In other word, the City Of Pain mission continually restarts! My progress is not being saved or recorded somehow (internet connection is fine). This symptom started right after the uPlay update that fixed the Server Not Available bug. What is going on??

sounds like a corrupted save file

shut off the Uplay Cloud sync setting in Uplay and see the tips section Pinned to the top of the forum for backed up save files

oir it could be you did not complete the mission objectives ..you can not be detected in that mission ..when getting on the truck .. then once in the city of pain you will have dioffering objectives

if amaita is the leader you have to take pics of 3 prisioners ..with sabale as the leader you have to free 3 ..and stay undetected till you get a prompt to go for paul

You really need to be in top form for the patience game with that mission. One screw up and it's back to the beginning ( or the secondary checkpoint after you capture Paul ). If you exit during the mission it's a restart.
