if the game was activated previously on your uplay account on your account ....you dont need one anyway ,,and it would not work

Uplay PC CD keys are unique and can only be used once. Once they are used, they are bound to the Ubisoft Account that was logged in at the time of initial activation.
You do not need to create a new Ubisoft Account. If you are receiving this error, chances are you already have more than one Ubisoft Account. You can simply log in to your other Ubisoft Account(s) to find which one has the game registered.
after that you acess your game by logging in the Uplay account you activated your game on .. if you have multiple Uplay accounts \ or forgot your loin anf pass you used ... you'll need to contact Ubi support DIRECTLY \ IE over the phone or by twitter are the fastest options
STEAM works the same exact way as far as cd keys
once you use a key the game is bound to the account you activated your game on
as of the steam summer sale 2016 all you need to do is install FC 4 \ uninstall the old outdated version of Uplay that Steam will always install with the games files
(sorry but yes FC 4 is several yrs old now )
download and install the updated version of Uplay from the Uplay web page here

restart both steam and Uplay as run as ADMINISTRATOR for best results
launch your game ....

if you for some odd reason have multiple Uplay accounts , contact Ubi support
you should always write down any account e mail and password you use when creating online accounts and activating games , i have a lil book i keep at my desk ..in my buddies PC he has one too stored in the bottom of his PC case
both of us never had a Uplay account issue ..and our Uplay and steam accounts have been active for years , myother freind did lose his account info once .. he regained it in less then an hour by calling ubi's supprt Phone number .. he was on the phone for less then 20 min provided proof of ownership of the account ..and was back in his game an Hour later
