Is a silenced sniper rifle the absolute best weapon in the game?

its pretty op. You can easily wipe out entire outposts and fortresses from a hill without anyone seeing you. Its more fun to just deag everyone and go guns blazing tho.

Well, I'm having tons of fun with it. Didn't have much luck sniping from hills, lots of animals attack you and they launch mortars at your location sometimes. I run around the perimeter sniping the little guys, then sneak in and take down the heavies. It's much more fun than I expected it to be, honestly.

The crossbow is the best even with the silencer on the sniper rifle the enime still hears you and finds you the crossbow they don't.

sniper is good for long range stealth kill, crossbow is good for close stealth action

when you kill a tiger or somewhat else with a crossbow you get 2 skins

anybody know how to unlock the LS-50 ? i had it on xbox, i don't see it in the shop

Nah, you'll unlock it in the shop later on.

There are a lot of weapons that aren't displayed in the shop until you reach a certian point in the game.

I am in love with this game right now. Have been playing non-stop. I love sniping with my silenced sinper. Those headshots are so satisfying! But it's not that the sniper is OP, it's just that the game is pretty easy. I've tried both stealth and loud. Stealth in this game is much easier than other stealth games.
For loud, if you load up on health syringe, it's pretty easy too.

The game is easy due ot the OP weapons and the ability (unlike Far Cry 2) to take out outposts to reduce the enemy patrols.

Try the game again without doing any radio towers or clearing any outposts (aside from the first of each you have to do to advance the campaign), not looting crates, not using any signature weapons (not that you'll have any money to buy any for a long time, anyway), and not using suppressors on rifles (just on pistols and SMGs). I think this brings out the true challenge in the game.

to you maybe but others like myself love to go stelth and kill them without beeing seen

I unlocked it yesterday and I was like "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!"

It's practically a fully automated sniper rifle.

Edit: And that ammo, my goodness!! You can wipe out an entire army before you need to reload!
