Where is Core Contingency and Battle Tactics?

Hey all. Wondering if its just me having this issue, but despite the files obviously being there, the game doesnt seem to notice both CC and Tactics are installed. No new units, or buildings. Denada.

Any help?

CC was an expansion with all the water units/buildings and new campaigns/maps/bugfixes/etc

BT was the 2nd expansion with a couple new units/maps with some new campaigns

they both show up for me

most of the campaigns make sure you can only use particular units.

do you have the underwater metal mines on your commander in skirmish?

Both their campaigns can be found when starting a new campaign, it prompts which campaign you`d like to play.

Thanks for the replies folks. I am a huge Arm fan, so I've been looking for tech level 3 stuff with no look. I think I'm recalling stuff from the unofficial update maybe. I see the underwater stuff. Gonna try the Core for once to see if I can build the Krogoth.

There is no T3 in original TA. Play the mod Mayhem or ESC if you want to have T3 or even T4 units/buildings.

Yupp. My bad. Playing catch up. Can't seem to get the damn patch update or mods to work on the steam version. Wonder if I still have those ISO images of the disks somewhere. I really miss those extra units!!

You would love Escalation. Let me know if you have problems installing it and I can help you.

Install 6.8.1 first, then overwrite the folder it makes with the latest beta rar

I may need help, following the instructions to take the earlier exe installer didnt work out for me. Crash on start issues. I'll give that a go though and post back. Thanks TAESC.

Run the TotalA.exe from the TA Escalation folder, not from steam or the total annihilation folder.

Hey TAESC_FN202

So I used the updater on 6.8.1. It installed the big update into the file location under steamapps, common. Installed it, and then the 6.8.1. Doesnt seem to have updated the two Application Exes though and starting the game just starts it as version 3.1 normal, despite the new preempting box allowing you to edit the screen size.
