TA Demo recorder and unit patch included?
To those who already bought the steam version: can you confirm 2 things for me please:

1) Is the TAdemorecorder included in the Steam version? And all the functionalities of the recorder?
2) And what about the unit limit, how much is it on the steam version?

Thanks in advance for answering.

Regards

There seems to be no TAdemorecorder included.

The original CD game had a downloadable patch released that was never integrated on a CD. The patch file is named ta1x-31c,exe 7.93mb, 4/30/2003 9:23:28 pm. Has Steam updated the TA module with this patch?

Hey you guys tried installing the TA Demo recorder yet?

I'm assuming steam and tademorecorder don't match.

Read the pinned post. You can install 3.9 on top of the Steam Install. It includes TADR. You can also install TADR only if you want to, but 3.9 is a superior TA install.

Steam TA in itself only includes TA+CC+BT+3.1+6, with 250 unit limit and no shared allied LOS.

3.9 will include Map Features to play more maps, TADR, 1500 unit limit, shared allied LOS, and many other features. There is no point in not installing 3.9. Also 3.0 and 3.1 and 3.9 are all compatible for playing OTA (Original TA).

Thank you for this very useful information, I'll link this:

However, what's the point in getting the steam version if you play it on gameranger anyways? Can't you just use OTA and patch it?

Steam is OTA. GOG is OTA. CD install is OTA. AllinOne installers are OTA. They are all 3.1, and can and should be upgraded to 3.9. Whatever works.

Thanks for the explanation.
