Okay, just making sure I wasn't doing something wrong! Thanks!! :D
A Con Kbot produce 0.3 metal and has 50 metal/energy storage (energy production is 8-9 depending on side from memory). That means 20 Con Kbots is the equivalent of 6 metal production (i.e. 3 'top quality' metal extractors) and a metal storage building.
On Arm Missions 6 and 7, where metal storages aren't available to build, but shipwrecks of over 1,000 metal exist, then spamming con kbots can be a nice tactic to use instead. Assuming the Con Kbots don't get blown up, that is. :)
Thank you! That actually will help a lot for my CORE campaign I plan on doing soon. Life gets so much easier with storage, though! It's definitely not a glitch that they're grayed out in earlier missions like I first suspected.
It’s not ‘necessary’ , but it is useful for a select few missions. Mainly arm 6 and 7 from memory.
The TA campaign on Hard can have its’ challenging missions, but they aren’t anywhere near as challenging as playing a bajillion multiplayer games vs. people. So they’re probably a piece of cake for someone who is used to Multiplayer TA, and perhaps not so much for someone who isn’t.
