Caster

Nortan Antivirus says Caster is a Trogen Virus... Steam Represetitive, can you comment on this please?
Of course the game designer is going to say "oh no no of course not" Whether it is or it isn't, so no offense game designer, honestly, i know Nortan can be over protective sometimes, hell it's even deleted MY games saying it's a security risk, but i just have to know from steam itself. So person from steam, can you double check on this and make sure it's not? Idk if theres some way you can prove you work for steam, maybe sending me a message directly to my account or something, i just want to make sure i'm not playing a game of darts that's secretly hung on a back door into my computer. I'm not sure why a person would want to make a game that's a virus, but you never know.

I think you are a bit paranoid about that kind of stuff. You don't have to worry about it. It's just a false alarm from your anti-virus software that is a scam anyway.

Forget about your privacy today. We have Facebook, Google, cookies in your web browser and many other factors. Why bother?

I'm not sure if you have an infected binary or something, but the binary you get from steam is clean. Perhaps redownloading it will fix the issue?

I'm also having this issue.

Norton is just too sensitive sometimes, the game is clean, you can just tell Norton to ignore it.

Just wanna say really quick, I know this is old. But for future readers.

Steam openly says certain anti virus programs will read it as a virus. AVG thought every game was a virus for me. Only thing on steam that can give you a virus is if you click a bait link from a scammer.

Left 4 Dead was considered malware like 10 times. Every update my firewall would try and block steam.

Is the code signed? You gotta sign your code in this day and age or it's going to get flagged.

Norton is bad and brings up false positives for every program under the sun, case closed, uninstall norton, stop being paranoid, go home people.

Norton is hands down the worst Antivirus that exists on this universe.
