Steam openly says certain anti virus programs will read it as a virus. AVG thought every game was a virus for me. Only thing on steam that can give you a virus is if you click a bait link from a scammer.
Left 4 Dead was considered malware like 10 times. Every update my firewall would try and block steam.
Is the code signed? You gotta sign your code in this day and age or it's going to get flagged.
You are batter off with no Antivirus at all than with this.... thing.
