Xbox One Controller Support?
Hey Guys! I just installed Split/Second again and wanted to play it with my XOne Controller, but sadly, there wasnt a chance to use it. I dont know why, but it seems like Split Second does not support this controller, which is in fact quite sad, because i dont have any other :/.
So is there a way to use it or am i doomed to use the Keyboard?

I'm probably late to this thread, but you can use an Xbox One controller for this game. You have to connect it to your USB port before you start the game. Afterwards you have to bind your controller buttons in the joystick options. The controller will only work in-game not in the menus. Hope this answers your question.

Ahh Gracias! I hope it'll work ^^

You're welcome.

doesn't work, when i try to bind buttons it recognises nothing...
so i can't even bind buttons to use in game.
It is the official xbox one controller so... that can't be it.:steamsad:

Did you plug in the controller before booting the game?
SwagMan Jun 15, 2016 @ 1:46am
yep, it's always plugged in

When you go into the controller settings to bind your keys go all the way to joystick/controller/gamepad (can't remember what it's called) using your arrowkeys and press enter the areas that you want to modify on your keyboard. Then press the corresponding key on your controller to bind. Tell me if this doesn't work after you've attempted it.

did that before, it's called joystick 0 but when i press enter to add a key, nothing happens. It doesn't register anything.

Interesting. This may sound stupid, but it's worth a try? Try unplugged the USB connection and reconnecting it. Sometimes leaving the USB plugged in messes with the system. Also is your xbox one controller lighting up when its plugged in?

Xbox one controller works flawlessly, even in the menu, if you use x360ce. Download the 32bits version (juste google it), copy x360ce.exe in the game folder. Open x360ce.exe with your xbox one controller plugged in. It should configure itself automatically. Click on the "Options" tab in x360ce, then select "Compatibility" Hook Mode under "Input Hook" section. Then you're good to go, exit x360ce, saving settings, and launch the game. The game will recognize your controller as a xbox 360 controller now, and everything's gonna work normally.

You just have to do it once, and it's gonna work everytime, you can even forget you did this. Tested on a wireless classic xbox one controller.

Your post helped immensely but it's outdated as newer version of x360ce doesn't use InputHook anymore but Hook Mask, I got it working by doing this: Select Game Settings Tab --> pick SplitSecond.exe --> under Hook Mask check these options: COM; LL; DI; PIDVID (this should do the same thing as InputHook set to 2 in older versions of x360ce); Xinput file set to 1.3 32bit
