Need some help with the 60fps patch.

So, I tried using the new 60fps patch that supposedly doesn't break the game (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lYMumKhCQRst-1zmoE8C-loHWnhT743G), but every time I try to patch the file it gives me an error message. Is anyone else having this issue?

Did you ever manage to fix this, I found the patch via pcgamingwiki but I get an error every time Itry to apply it too

Was expecting 9F at offset 0017921C but found CC instead

Thats all it tells me.

NVM: Turns out the patch doesnt work with the steam version, you have to download the cracked exe and patch that, then it'll work.

Nice to know that, but I ended up playing at 30fps and still had a blast.

In case anyone is thinking of paying this guy money, I figured $1 is nothing if it worked. It turns out he's just repackaging other people's work, and the cheat engine packaged in the zip file has a virus.

I actually own the original Split Second on disc when it first came out. I have played this game in all its glory with full 60fps and I can tell you that the 30fps version is total garbage regardless of what Pixl_man says. Now that I have a USB Blu-ray Drive Im going to reinstall the game, and the backup copy I have of the patcher.

Btw the original patcher for the 1.0 version never had a virus or cheat engine included with it.

It wouldnt help since I have the boxed DVD original, its not steam version, the exe wont even work with the steam version. You might be able to find an uncracked exe from gamecopyworld or some similar site...

imo, right now is better to use lossless scaling for this game.
The patch that works with steam looks better because are "real frames", but the power plays breaking is a let down, idk how many times I lost a race because they glitch out and didnt do anything or end up hitting me instead

I havent used the patch for the steam version, but the one that existed or the original release that was non-steam gave 60fps and all the physics/power plays worked perfectly. They worked when I used them, and the ai was able to use them np too.

See unfortunately for me, even the unpatched steam version once I get to the press enter or space whatever it is to get to the games main menu the game just CTD. So unfortunately ive never been able to get the steam version to even work...
