Anyway, thank you for your answer!
I'll return with updates!
Later Edit:
Still the game doesn't work with X360 controller! :/
As a note...I added you to ask you that! :)
Neither X360 nor XONE controllers work for me here, on Win10. Both used to work fine, then just stopped.
I don't know if there's a layer interfering with the game here, but if I just use the keyboard and start a race, my car just keeps accelerating and the view's stuck at rearview, without touching anything. Does this happen to you too?
2 days ago I found fix.
1.st of all, for me, all of my Xbox360 wireless controllers (working with receiver) weren't working at all in menu or in race, so in game the car wouldn't start.
As a fix, I went to my Steam\Game folder\ and on compatibility mode I setted up the game executable on XP SP3...I mention that I have Win 10 PRO x64.
Another setting I made was that on steam, where the game properties are, I changed the launch option to : '-w 3440 -h 1440' - my display resolution.
Now's working as a charm.....but that won't help me, because I have Steam Link and I want to play my games(Split Screen games) in my living room with my friends. So.....almost all games works ok with Steam Link and controllers in my living room, but not Split Second nor FIFA 18 (as a non steam game) and I tried almost everything.
So in that case, yesterday I made a ticked to Steam support.......still no response from them.
SO, if you wanna play normally from desktop with controllers....you can try what I tried above!
None of my controllers work after I try to map them.
Found the issue:
- game works without any problems when I play it directly from my computer.
- the problem is when I stream the game through SteamLink and try to play it with a controller to my TV. Issue is also applied on games from other platforms(runned through Steam) and some other games from Steam too.
I already made a ticket to Steam Support, but they didn't have a fix for it...yet.
