Hi Guys,i am thinking of buying this game,would like your opinion ,if it is possible to play it like a single player game, i love isolation in distant areas. any comments would be much appreciated.

It's certainly possible, although if you find it difficult I recommend joining an existing tribe to get started, then setting off on your own. I hope you enjoy Xsyon!

There is a lot of wilderness in the map, especially around the edges of the map and on war server, where you can settle far from any other tribes, and you don't have to interact with people if you don't want to. I have sometimes come across some "hermits" that I have never seen pop up in the chat but they tell me they have been playing a long time. Just keep in mind that it will be a lot easier for you if you trade for some items as it is difficult (but not impossible) to make everything yourself. But that depends on what your goals are of course. You can certainly survive and make a modest homestead without other players.

I'd say it is possible but it's tough! I made it to a nice zone on the PvE server but the leveling takes a long long time (a real grind!) so don't expect to locate a nice place, dump your totem and build a house. You will be missing some key tools which you cannot craft until level [...] and it takes a bloody long time to get there! I'd suggest playing with at least 1 friend to make the grind less boring and if you're lucky he/she's got other skills and thus other tools than you.
But, people are very friendly on the PvE and will help you out even with just something small to make your life easier, such as a welcome gift giving you a basket and a pouch to store some extra things; which is very nice and handy.
