GW1 has a place called the Hall of Monuments. In there you find 5 monuments. By filling up these monuments you gain reward points and unlock skins and achievements for GW2. It also has a reward calculator:
https://hom.guildwars2.com
Devotion Monument:
Very easy, you need to display 50 minipets to unlock all reward points. Most minipets are cheap to buy or even free from other players. You also need some rare minipets too, which can be somewhat pricey.
Fellowship Monument:
Also an easy one, you display 30 companion statues. Heroes (customizable NPC henchmen) and some ranger pets are considered companions. To unlock the statues you need to do some side mission challenges, but they're not too hard.
Valor Monument:
You need to display 15 endgame weapons of a specific set (Destroyer from Eye of the North, Tormented from Nightfall, Oppressor from Prophecies). You need at least one of each weapon skin. Destroyer weapons are easiest to get imo, but you need some money to buy the materials and craft them.
Resilience Monument:
7 "Elite" (expensive) armor sets need to be displayed. One of them needs to be a Luxon/Kurzick (Factions), Vabbian (Nightfall), and Obsidian (any campaign) armor. Obsidian is the most expensive armor set in the game.
Honor Monument:
This is where you will spend most of your time. You basically have to 100% the PvE game. You need to beat all 3 campaigns and the expansion, beat all missions and dungeons and do the bonus objectives (normal and hard mode), collect all elite skills, explore all the maps, vanquish (kill all enemies) all maps in hard mode, spend gold or farm for consumables (alcohol, party, sweets), farm reputation points for the Nightfall and Eye of the North factions.
God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals:
That's the ultimate title that unlocks by maxing 30 other titles. If you finish unlocking the Honor monument you'll probably unlock this title too. This title carries over to GW2.
All of this will take a tremendous amount of time and gold. But it's still a very fun game to play!
But keep in mind that GW1 is a very different game than GW2, so it can be that you might not even enjoy it. You should still try it tho. ;)
