Player Population?

Want to try this but worried is dead for new players. Steam charts show only a few hundred concurrent players but I know not everyone is on steam.

ehh, the towns are less populated than they used to be (and I'm pretty sure like 30-40% of what remains is bots) but it's definitely not dead.

Now, PVP on the other hand is straight up dead.

95% of players are not on steam. GW has it's own launcher.

There is population. USA servers, have up to 5 or more kamadam trade chat etc... If you want to see people, you can play on usa servers.

I play on EU, becouse of ping.

I've only played 5-6hrs of the game but have never seen another player. I use the AI, but to be honest I prefer it that way as I love single player RPGs and am not as keen on MMOs

There are maybe a few thousand active players, and there are some pretty big active guilds and alliances too. There's more life on the subreddit if you want to find community https://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/

And yes, the vast majority of players play on the American district (I play on EU because I like low ping and low population :D)

I played 1 hour and saw people in the city, it's a instanced game so you won't see people unless in town or party.

You can see players even on the starting zones.

Generally speaking there are between 6 and 8 people actively playing at a time.

I got more human interaction in this game in first hour then in wow for 2months. Game is still has hard missions, people were already trying to help me.!

lol I don't like discord almost as much as reddit, but that's cool so you're saying discord has like sections for checking out guilds and stuff like that and applying to join?

The game went into maintenance mode almost a decade ago. The player count has been close to nada for a very long time. If you actually run into a real person your lucky.
