Guild Wars

BEST WAY TO LEVEL 10, THEN TO 20. @PRE-SEARING ASCALON
Without taking too much time, how fast can you level a character in Pre-searing Ascalon.

This might help: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Defender_of_Ascalon#Optimized_Walkthrough

But even then it's not going to be something you're going to be able to do very quickly.

I'm currently getting this title on a third character, up to half way through level 18 so far, and that's taken 35 hours over 54 days according to /age but I'm not rushing it and I skip the Vanguard quests I can't be bothered to do.

Pre-Searing would be difficult as hell. Afaik the XP provided by enemies does not scale with your level. So you'll gain the same amount of XP farming River Scales at level 15 than you would at level 1. It would take forever.

XP earned scales based on the level difference between your character and the enemy. Anything over 5 levels below your character will not give XP. So the only way you could possibly reach level 15 in Pre, through normal means, would be farming the level 10 bosses in the Northlands. But..

The daily Vanguard quests (added to the game in 2011) make it much easier to level in Pre-Searing. Prior to that it was only possible to reach level 20 through death leveling[wiki.guildwars.com].

Just maxed this. Time to start working on the title on a fourth character I guess haha.

I didn't go through with it, been playing Guild Wars 2 for days. I don't know when I'll want to finish the tittle.

After playing GW for so many years previously, I've never been bothered with the LDoA title. However, I have always wondered... are you even allowed to leave pre-searing once getting this title?

I'm not sure what it gains you for GW2 but it seems a little pointless to do other than that.

You can leave pre-Searing at level 20 and your character will retain the title. But you can also add it to your Hall of Monuments without leaving pre-Searing: they added an NPC to Ascalon City specifically for it and other titles achievable in pre-Searing.
