Expansion travel

I have a 'new to the game' question.

Is their any way to travel to other expansion areas with a charecter created in another? Example: I have an elementalist thats created in the Prophecies game; can I travel to the Factions expansion area? Also can I return easliy or am I stuck?

Yes you can travel to other expansions and back. A quest given by the skill trainer in Lion's Arch will lead to Cantha (Factions) and then it's simply a matter of map travelling back and forth as you please.

you can travel to any campaign or Boreal Station (Eye of the North) once you have reached a "port" city with said toon and do the related quest.
port cities are:
Lions Arch (Prophecies)
Kaineng Center (Factions)
Kamadan (Nightfall)

to note, the map for each toon is separate. you have to visit every area with every toon, you cant fast-travel to one place just because another toon has reached a outpost.
