Plus, I'm not even sure it's the right boss, since the cheevs all reference the boss by name and the name of the guy in the beginning is Gol'liath.
The approach I've been trying is placing the arrow at a steep angle from his chest, and pulling it diagonally across. I don't think it's possible to pull the arrow and get out of the way, though. It tracks to the player too well, and when you stop pulling, the arrow stops pretty quickly.
Ah, fair enough, ignore what I said then, it's pretty late where I am.
Having trouble still, any more tips?
Then from there, you can circle around to the top, let the right fist fall, and immediately step onto the left side and start pulling the arrow. You can get a bit more time if you guide the right fist to the left side, because the left fist won't move from his chest until after the right fist lands.
Just take note of how the screen's divided into left and right, use that to control the fists, and with a couple tries, you should be able to get the timing down.

Stand 5 feet from door > Shoot boss > Roll back immediately > Pull arrow away from him a little bit > Get behind him > Pull when he lifts his fist.
Thanks for that, got it straight away, didn't realize the arrow had to be so far away.
One thing I've learnt about this game, once you see the best way to kill a boss, it's pretty easy to copy it.
Yeah I mean most of the bosses have a qick kill in this game because of the one hit kill thing. The knights one of the slowest bosses to kill because of his startup but you can still kill him within ~15 seconds of entering, Just get him to shoot the arrow almost vertically down and then it's really easy to hit.

Aside from that, I'd always get him to aim down, but... Damn, wish I even thought to TRY that. Would've made the No-Roll run a lot less painful. lol
