KNOWN ISSUES
STUTTERING

Various users have reported microstutter during gameplay but no fix has been found yet.

LINUX MOUSE STUTTER

Mouse lags on Linux while the game runs in fullscreen.
This is the worst kind of bug since it's caused by the engine and not my own implementations, but I am looking for a workaround.

Meanwhile if you can try different resolutions it seems to fix for some people.

BLACK BOXES INSTEAD OF FONTS

This is related to outdated Intel 4000 HD drivers. Try updating them!

GAME CRASHES ON LAUNCH (on MACs)

UPDATE: This seems to have been fixed on V0.20

This is a Unity / Steam Overlay issue that plagues many games and unfortunately has no real fix that I know of. Happens only when game launches in full screen. There are however 2 simple workarounds:

- Disable Steam Overlay
Right click on Heavy Bullets > Properties > Uncheck the Enable Steam Overlay checkbox.

- Launch in a window
Hold option when launching the game, then set to windowed. You can set it to fullscreen while playing the game with no problems.

I just posted a new discussion about this. I got a problem with using the pause screen - whenever I get out of the pause screen, there's a chance of objects/items flying around, and I've lost 2 items so far due to this bug! :(

Please fix the moving crosshair bug. I really want to play this game, but the bug is so annoying

Not sure if known.

I do swear that being able to shoot door controls is a recent feature. As in post-release. Whatever the case though, I've found that when it comes to the boss doors, opening the first one by hand, and then shooting it will close it permanently and destroy the controls.

Shooting door controls has been in the game since alpha, I'll look into that boss one thanks

Boss one still isn't fixed ... I just got hit by it now. What am I supposed to do, I spent a good portion of this time getting to the final boss only for it become permanently closed. Is there anyway I can save what I have now and try again? I don't mind starting over from the beginning as long as I got the same stuff, even if I have to get rid of my last will.

If you have a Last Will then killing yourself will work, restart the game and you should get your stuff back. If there's a bank then there's no harm in depositing your money/item in it before to make sure.

I'm planning an update for this next week.

I also have the crosshair bug, but fixing it is stupidly easy -- I can just hit escape to pause, and then upon returning to the game the crosshair fixes itself.

One thing that I would like to report, is that it seems like simultaneous sound effects are not playing. Makes sense actually, to prevent one sound effect from playing 20 times at once and causing a sound spike. But I feel like having certain sound effects be able to stack is a benefit to the player.

For example, I used to be able to listen for the bullet-pickup sound effect and know how many bullets I picked up, and reload that number of times. As-is though, the sound may play once but I may pick up two or three bullets at a time. Therefore I either have to spam R or look to see how many bullets I have left.

I've since just been buying extra bullets, not because I really want to, but because it is easier than worrying about not having enough bullets. Every time I pick up bullets, my subconcious tells me, "that's not how many times you fired", and I have to stop and double check that I didn't leave any behind.

Maybe if you still want to prevent a sound effect stacking spike, limit the simultaneous plays to some number greater than one. At the very least, I would recommend removing/increasing the limit for just bullets. Other consumables are less of a worry, but the bullet pickup sound is quite important. It is, after all, Heavy Bullets.

I found another couple of bugs:

1. Opening the boss room door (lvl 8) then destroying the door mechanism causes the door to shut, locking the player out of the boss room.

2. Every so often the display freezes for a fraction of a second, during which the player continues moving the direction they were moving at the moment the freeze happened. Audio isn't affected. It doesn't seem to coincide with map loading. It seemed to happen more when I had broken a lot of rocks, but that may have been my imagination.

Whenver I go to download Heavy Bullets, the Steam downloads a strange Internet Shortcut that doesn't link to the game! While comparing Properties of other Steam games I have Downloaded, I noticed that Heavy Bullets' Properties was missing a "Web Document" tab.

Are any more updates planned? I'd like to play this game, but I get constant little 10 fps drops every 30-120 seconds that makes the game stutter weirdly. Tried with all the different settings confgiurations and nothing worked.

any reason i cant bring up the steam over veiw while playing the game?

also can you possibly make it so i can turn down the game sounds insted of turning it off compleatly?

update: i also find that some how the imps and turrets. as well as other things can see me through a wall. is that supposed to happen? and i mean il be walking down a hall and il hear it screach and run at me and b there right beihind the door i have yet to open , or the turret still fireing at me even though im not in veiw of it. yet it can still track me.

i am really haveng a problem with these lag spikes. i love this game, i really do but 9/10 times i die is because the game has a massave lag spike for no reason. and it seems to get worse with ever level. on the first there is little to no lag, after that it gets worse and worse. my items keep dropping because the lag akes the game think im dropping it, and thats even worse when im trying to run from somehting i cant kill bcause i cant move a little bit with out he game thinking i held down the move key. please fix this issue as soon as possible.

So, I have this really weird bug: the menus and intro cutscene work fine, but once the actual game starts it no longer reacts to any input. Rendering seems to work fine, I even get the "Level 1" popup which fades out. I can hear ambient noises. No key does anything, not even the escape key. Moving the mouse leads to the bug which makes the crosshair move, but the camera stays locked in place. I can't fire the gun (and I can't hear gunshots, so my guess is that it's an input bug, not a rendering bug).

I'm running a 64bit Gentoo with an Intel HD 4000.

I tried setting LC_ALL=C, changing my keyboard layout to US and using different resolutions as well as switching between windowed and fullscreen. I also tried the 32bit executable, but that made no difference. Would be happy for ideas on how to debug/solve this problem.
