Are there secret hotkeys?

is there a hotkey to select idle workers? are there any other hotkeys i should know about?!

There is no secret hotkeys.
All shortcut are shown when you start the game (the box to configure shortcut)
But there is a button to select idle meatbags on the upper left of the screen. (grey button with a little man in it)

:( i noticed the button, but it'd be convenient to have a keyboard shortcut to do the same

Super old, but you can make control groups, which carry over between missions. |Very useful for making specialised squads and keeping track of your crew. Compared to the disposable ones you make in mission.
