not to sound harsh but Steam the biggest game distribution still favors Linux over the insecure broken mess known as Windows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can still play this HD version on Linux on Steam anyways using proton or use VCMI to port the original game to Linux so either way with the fact that Linux is more secure and reliable with so many games working (over 75%) or native Linux still wins

I have the Linux version of HOMM3 released by Loki Games.
The patches are still out there

I acquired it after Loki Games closed down, but haven't tried it on Linux. Wonder if it still works after all this time.

I would be surprised, it stopped working for me years ago (but TBH I haven't tried very hard to fix it).
