so if you own, 2 castles you should own 2 heroes
i would really advise you should not fight early own if you'r losing a lot of units (unless you're on the necromancers factions, they're sole role is to play agressive early own)
defensive factions would be the elves, haven and the mages
while aggressive should be the demons, necro, and dungen
pick a faction to suit your style
i've played haven for almost a century and i can grant they have the most defensive force in terms of armor, but obviously they're not as versitle in sieging castles (unless you get a hero with siege expertise)
and since this is heroes 3, always go through the magic route, giving your army a small bonus over game changing spells you should always favor the spells.
Nice advice - do exactly opposite. Rampart and Castle have best tier 1-3 units making early aggression and lossless object cleanup easy. For Tower - gremlin rush is viable tactic in RoE.
Inferno, Necro and Dungeon excel in mid-late game, when high amount of risen skeletons / 6/7 tier available or magic users/necromancers properly leveled.
