does this have the expansions like heroes of might and magic 3 complete did back in the day? we spent so much time playing that when i was in college.

No. It does not. It explicitly is only Restoration of Erathia, because they only had the source code for the base game.

That's their excluse anyway. That they have lost the source code for the expansions.

This is the verbatim statement: "Community team note: But why only RoE? To understand the origin of the project and its development we need to go back to 2003. At that time we asked New World Computing to retrieve their archives for all the Might & Magic titles. We found tons of documentation and data but regarding Heroes III we had nothing but the usable source code of Heroes III Restoration of Erathia. "
That can be interpreted as "We asked NWC when we acquired them to get it, this is what they gave us", which is honestly quite believable, as NWC got dissolved/absorbed then.

You should be able to add your gog complete version to your steam library by using:

Games -> Add non-steam game to my library.

If you are talking about steam releasing a complete version of the game, there wouldn't be steamworks multiplayer. If you want steamworks multiplayer, there wouldn't be the complete version (expansions source code not available for such remake).

It would be nice if they gave us these 2 options by adding Original heroes 3 complete in a bundle with Heroes 3 HD. It would be the clever thing to do if they want every one to invest in this.

jon,. that adds a shortcut. it doesnt actually add the game to my steam library.

Homer, it adds it to your library in such a way that you have a shortcut and when you play the game through this shortcut, steam will broadcast (to your friendslist etc) the fact that you are playing heroes 3 as any other steam game :)

You can disagree with valve if this is truly part of your library or not. They make the rules, not me :) They are the ones that enabled "Add non-steam games to my library".

yes but it's still just a non-steam shortcut. lol not actually a licensed steam game as i can putw hatever i want on there, it won't show on my owned games. lol

But it will display as you "playing Heroes 3" when you play it.

well because i stated I'd like to have the complete version with expansions on steam and some fool said "add non steam game" which most would know that that's not what I meant.
