There's a group of modders creating a mod for Heroes 3 Complete which makes it more like Heroes 2. Amongst many other things they are adding Heroes 2 maps to Heroes 3. Here's a video of the open beta version of the mod:

how do you get thee single player map to be reecognized in this hd edition or is it just for complete.
Just put it in your maps folder, e.g "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Heroes of Might & Magic III - HD Edition\data\maps\EN" (I think you already know this path, but might be interesting for others reading), then it will show up in maps list with name "_Broken Alliance" . Notice the underscore in front, it means it is sorted differently.
