resolution problem

I just recorded a video of the resolution problem I am experiencing when trying to play heroes 3 hd edition. I select 1920x1080p fhd and check the full screen check box on the launcher, then start the game but it doesn't start in 1920x1080p. the resolution seems to be lower with a large part of the screen positioned off-screen and out of view.

hah I just took a look at the known issues thread and it appears that this is the problem that is caused by having a different font size in windows :P I turned the font size down to "smaller" (100%) and launched the game and the resolution is fine with this font size. I don't consider this a fix, though, as it is really hard to read font at this size with this resolution on my monitor/tv!

This was posted elsewhere, too: you can fix the resolution problem regardless of desktop scaling by finding HOMM 3 2.0.EXE in steamapps\common and checking the "Disable scaling on high DPI displays" box under the "Compatibility" tab in Properties. (Right-click on the .EXE file in Explorer.)

I had the same problem with resolution and disablling scaling on high DPI displays" box under the "Compatibility" tab in Properties does definitely not work !
My previous scrren was 16:10 and the new one is 16:9 and when I start the game and choose ''1920x1080 (FHD 16:9)'', the game always goes on ''1900x1200 (FHD 16:10)''...
I tried many things like reinstall the game, reinstall graphic pilots, change the resolution of the screen, but nothing worked.

Could someone help me pls ???

Late answer to that last post, as I had the same problem: after using the DPI fix everyone use:
-Launch the game
-Use the windows key
-Then, and only then, go see the windows destop resolution: it will be changed to another value than the value you use normally. Change it back to the value you use normally, and everything will be fine again, even for future launch.
