Heroes of Might and Magic III - Windows 10 - Not Working

Hello,

So my brother got for me Heroes III and I have for now Windows 10, and while to some people is working to me it is not and I have already tried what I could find on forums.

I've tried:

- Any resolutions possible
- Launching as administrator
- Restarting steam
- Restarting PC
- Reinstalling the game
- Changing comptability on the HOMM3 in the steamapps file located in my PC
- Downloading and putting in the file the Open32 thing

It still doesn't work, it starts at first, ask me if I want to play, says the game is running, but if I click on play, nothing happens and I am instantly back on Online on steam as if I had never started it!

Anyone has tips/advices to help me make it work? I could try redoing my PC for an ulterior version of Windows, but so far all of my games work with windows 10 except Heroes III so before coming to this I wanna try to solve it. :(

If you want a Heroes 3 that works on W10, buy the gog version, got all the expansions and is half the price

What is a "gog" version and where do I find it? because I also have the entire expansion on an original CD and my CD doesn't work also on my computer anymore and with W10! ;-;

Go to gog.com . Here you get Heroes 3 Complete for less than the hd edition.
