Can somebody please explain to me why all these border gaurds are so jank?!

I'm on map 3 of long live the king, and I have no items, nothing i got from map 1 or 2 transferred over to map 3, and I couldn't get past the green border guard at the top of the map on map 2 and i tried everything. I could get Sandro, but i never needed him and he doesn't come with me so that's the point?! I brought Sandro and every artifact I had to that accursed post. I want to burn it down out of spite at this point. It's drivin me nuts. It feels terribly inconsistent and despite my long search I've found NOTHING to indicate what went wrong if anything. At this point I want to know how these border guards work more out of curiosity then any attempts to actually use them. It's just too much trouble at this point. I mean, i have an army and a catapult. Why can't I just bust it down? Screw whoever came up with such a stupid plan for investment progression.

Calm down. You need to visit a tent that is the same color as the border guard.

I'm not talking about the tents you dope. Those border guards are obvious. I'n refering to the campaign ones. The ones that don't HAVE tents.

huh... all border guards have tends, unless there enemy ones?
But there are some that require a visit from a specific hero, so read what they say carefully

I'm referring to the campaign border posts. The ones that require specific items in order to pass. I have since concluded that some are exclusive, I have to pick one item or the other, I can't get both, I'm fairly sure of this....mostly.

lol ur still struggling with this? what is the name of the scenario? Season of the harvest? That one seems to be the only one that has a green border guard at the top of the map... anyhow, the purpose of that scenario is to harvest 2500 skeletons. you dont need to go through the border guard...

I know that, I've finished every campaign since making this post. Still wanted my loot though. Even if I didn't need it.

Has anyone else find how to open that Green Border Gate at the top left of the map of the 3rd scenario of the campaign "Long Live the King", which is named "Season of Harvest"?

I'm carrying the "Spirit of Oppression", which I guess is the artifact carrying over from the previous scenarios, and yet I still can't open it.

This scenario has a bug-like feature, and it propagates through the rest of the campaign. There is an inaccessible region in the NW corner of the map. The Artifact there, the Spyglass, cannot be obtained, unless you learn Fly or Dimension Door. This Artifact presumably gives you access to other inaccessible areas in the following scenarios.
