Where are HoMMIII saves on Steam Play (proton) on Linux?

When HoMMIII was installed with Steam on Wine it was in:

~/Documents//Ubisoft/Heroes of Might & Magic III - HD Edition/pref/games/

However, when HoMMIII is installed from the new Steam Play (Proton), I can't find proper place where those saves are stored. It isn't in the same place because old saves aren't recognized.

I found this place:

~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton 3.7/dist/share/default_pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/

Inside that folder I can see My Documents and Saved Games but no saves there, no Ubisoft folder.

I'm lost. How to move my old saves for this new Steam Play install? Any idea?

Old thread but Steam Play works similar to Play on Linux in that every game is using it's own wine-version and wine prefix.
The folder you want is most likely :
.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/297000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Ubisoft/Heroes of Might & Magic III - HD Edition/pref/games/

It's in the SteamLibrary you have HOMM installed but instead of common go into compdata and the folder with HOMM3's steam application ID.
It's similar with all Steam Play applications.

Thanks, but I unsitalled HOMMIII not so long ago (I needed some space) and I don't have .steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/297000/

It's weird, because such folders usually stay after uninstallation. However, I'll save the info for the future and will see if it will work when the game is installed.

I was looking in Proton's folder instead HOMMIII prefix. So I guess you are right with the path.
