Unlikely. If the story with "lost source code" is true (which is doubtful), Ubisoft will not bother with reverse engineering original AB and SoD.

There is still a hope that handy modders will sometimes redraw all the sprites and textures and we'll get a full-featured HD mod (unfortunately I don't have any skills in graphical art, but I'm ready to donate and I believe most of HMM fans are as well).

This has been discussed a lot, there will be no "HD" for AB/SoD. You can get GOG version of Heroes 3 Complete and install free HD-mod on it though. Why would anyone play ubisoft's hd anyway lol

The source code has been found long ago guys - check in here https://twitter.com/diskblitz/status/920801845349466113. Ubisoft has received it and done absolutely nothing about it! That's such a shameful display.
