AGS error - Achievements.asc
I can't start the game in Windows 10, I get an AGS error message reading: "An error has occurred... ACI version 3.3.0.1162 in 'Achievements.asc' line 151 from 'Achievements.asc', line 334 Error: FileReadInt File read back in wrong order.

I was able to run the game the first time I installed it, and looked at the achievements page in-game and got a BSOD in Windows 10, had to hard reset my PC. Since then, I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice and get this every time. Tried to locate save data to delete in case of corruption, but can't find a relevant folder anywhere.

Can one of the devs help?

Thanks.

Sorry, didn't notice this post until now.

It sounds like the file that stores the game's achievements may have become corrupted. Deleting this file should fix the problem, but will most likely remove any in-game achievements that you've earned (these might still stick around on Steam, though).

Go to the save-game folder, depending on your OS:

Windows: c:/Users/USERNAME/Saved Games/Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchmans Mine (Steam) (Where USERNAME is the name of your Windows account)
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchmans Mine (Steam)/
Linux: ~/.local/share/ags/Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchmans Mine (Steam)/

Look for the file called act.dat and delete it from the save-games folder. Exit the game and then try launching it again. Hopefully, this should work.
